Supreme Court delays DACA ruling

June 4, 2019

We have some good new on the DACA case in the U.S. Supreme Court! The Trump Administration had requested that the Supreme Court make a special exception to decide the case earlier than other cases. However, yesterday, the Supreme Court turned them down. While this DOESN'T mean that DACA will survive permanently, it does mean that the case will take longer to decide. We're very happy about that, because it means we'll have at least a few more months for immigrants with DACA to continue renewing their cards. It also gets us closer to the end of the Trump Administration with the hopes that our next president decides to continue the program indefinitely or Congress makes a law to make the program permanent.
